FHF Chicagoland Stories

A few stories to share . . .

A single mom reached out for clothing for her son. She was thinking of dropping out of school in order to work more to pay for these necessities. WE collected the needed clothing in a week! Not only did Mom stay in school, BUT she just graduated with a 4.0 GPA!

A foster child recently had a birthday. We didn't get any wishes from her caseworker, but her sponsor reached out with a question - "What ethnicity is this little girl? I want to get her an American Girl doll that looks just like her!" Many tears were shed :) The perfect doll and three outfits are being delivered this week!

A little girl wrote a note to Santa. She has special needs and asked for things she could use to practice being a hair stylist. Not only did our group provide her with a ton of stuff, but Gordon Salon also gave her and her Mom a spa day!

A young man filled out the holiday wish form through his school. His only request was a bottle of perfume for his mom. His sponsor fulfilled his wish and bought him a bunch of presents too!

Again and Again, YOU are making a difference in the lives of women, children, and the community around us!
